Adventure Story
Path of the snow and a certain someone known as:
An adventure story written by Finn (4th grade)
I went on a holiday adventure to Lapland, which is in Finland. I also brought some of my friends along. The flight was pretty long, but at least I saw a Beautiful sunset and birds soaring through the sky. Once we arrived and got off the plane, some people immediately froze into ice sculptures. After some time, we arrived at a hotel. On a moonlit night the next day, we snuck out to explore a bit. We went far away until we couldn’t see any houses and we also lost track of time. We saw some huge trees further away, so we went there. There was so much snow that we thought it was an endless pit of snow. After some struggling to move forward, we saw a path leading into the forest that was covered in the whitest snow - almost glowing. It looked like a secret, so we went inside. Moments later, we all were shocked. We discovered a mysterious castle made out of glimmering ice. We embarked on a short journey to the front gate. When we opened the door we saw someone. I asked who he was and the person replied with “Nice to meet you, my dear guests. I am what you would call a god“, we obtained permission to enter and there were so many rooms and it actually wasn’t cold at all which surprised me. We went to a dining room, and I got to eat food, but it didn’t really feel like I was eating. Minutes later, my alarm went off and the castle shattered into a thousand pieces, my vision slowly becoming blurry. I heard a voice saying: ”returning to earth“ I thought it was probably just the last seconds of my dream. After all, you would never meet a god. I thought that it was strange how no one ever talked except the god of course. Well, it was a nice dream I guess. Off to school, I go. The end.
